This hit me hard. Having grown up with an abusive alcoholic father, I developed Complex PTSD. I used Fantasy when I was a child to get me through the trauma and survive. It was a source of comfort for me. In my Fantasy I would have a loving Father and Family Life which included Me being the "Hero" and all the Fame and Fortune that came with it. However, even with years of Therapy, I always fell back on the variations of the Fantasy when the trauma revealed itself and became too much. Rather than take positive action and walk through the "fire", it was easier to remain distracted and in denial. Now at 53, my Life is nothing I pictured 25 years ago. I am getting divorced, have no Family and feel empty and void inside, having to "start over" again. At the end of the day, I have no one to blame but myself. I implore anyone watching this video, if it resonates with you, please work on any pain or trauma you might be carrying, walk away from any toxic people in your Life NOW, and take positive action to build the Life you want, brick by brick. Remember - you are ultimately the Captain of your Fate and Master of your Soul.

Autism has increased not because of this.. but because symptoms in the DSM5 has increased to broader diagnosis for girls who are autistic, and others who didn’t fit the DSM5 before. For example- if you could maintain eye contact before, you weren’t autistic. We now know that’s not the case for many. Don’t spread misinformation. You clearly only know surface level things about autism. Autism is genetic. And this video is not supported by actual science. Just assumptions based on a separate set of bias.
